Lets talk cricket..

Although the response to my blog has been little less than that of the bigB, but stilll i havnt lost hope and am writing for the second day in continuation.

Today i will be talking about a topic that i always have dreamt of. Cricket they say runs in my veins.Be it a discussion , friendly chat, analogies or even the group discussion of a reputed Bschool with my career at stake, I cannot abstain from bringing cricket* in.

But as time is passing i am getting restless with my own interest; especially in one day cricket; declining. The cause Too many one-dayers and of course Mahendra singh dhoni. People call him the youth icon but for me he aint no fit in the scheme of things, not as a captain atleast.
Anyway lets talk about the ongoing SA-ENG test match series. England being 1-0 down needed to do well today but their batting didnt hold up and day 1 ended with advantage to the visitors.
One things that perplexes me most is how in the holy hell can they call Andrew Flintoff a bowling allrounder and bat him at 7-8 ?? But thats english cricket for you folks. Complicating the incomplicated and even planning out how to unthink the thinkable.
But an even more important series is going on in the Emerald Island. Where the Indians will be looking forward to make amends in the second test starting tomorrow. Lets admit it, we screwd up big time in the first test. Nothing clicked. But its time to do what is right and play well. Personally i have never liked cricket in Sri lanka.. be it the inevitable rains, The always empty stands , the slow as a dodo wickets or the cricket bats looking like the batsmen forgot to knock them at all and the red ball looking as huge as a football.
Dont like the look of sri lankan cricket.
Again speculations have started about dropping Rahul Dravid from the test team( ALAS dont these people have anything else to do!!) or even selecting him as the wicket keeper.
Hope common sense prevails and Dravid shows these people once again Why he is my favourite cricketer.

And thats the bottomline coz the great one said so.

RIGHT OR WRONG ????

RIGHT OR WRONG ????

“Bhala bura hai bura bhala hai, khote par sab khara pala hai”
At every point in life everyone of us comes face to face with this question.
What is right and what is left..no I mean wrong. Every place, every time, every single breath that we take, in some way or the other is based on what we consider right. So basically its all about perception. Evey single human being wants to justify whatever he does. And there are not many people who accept that they are doing things the wrong way.To them whatever they do is right.
As Subash Nagre puts it….”Mujhe jo sahi lagta hai…main karta hun,
Chahe wo insane k khilaaf ho ya bhagwaan k khilaaf ho. Police kanoon ya fir poore system k khilaaf hi kyun na ho.”
What I am trying to portray is that all of us have a subhash Nagre within us….the extent as always, may differ. But on the whole we never ever compromise with what we think is right.
And That’s the bottomline coz the great one said so.

The truth...

“Sach… bohut hi ajeebo gareeb hota hai yeh sach….Aksar…

AKALP..ASAAMANYA…ADBHUT…kalpana se bhi vichitra hota hai ye sach …aksar.”

I cannot agree more to Gulzar’s saab’s this wonderful piece of writing. And when Amitji lends his voice to any piece of writing you are more or less bound to agree to it.

This is my first piece of blog ever so kindly bear with me if there are certain mistakes.

So lets talk about truth..what is truth??

First of all it may be a fact..like the sun rises in the east…..India has a population of over 100 crores…..and such things that u wud answer correct even when asked at 2 in the night.

Then there may be realities like..indian system is full of corrupt people…….We have a prime minister who is like a non playing captain…etc etc…which are open to debate but are more or less expexted to be correct.

Then comes the term belief…..For us whatever we believe in is the truth.

It can be related to the almighty too….like we say God is the ultimate truth…so it is a matter of belief, which can be true for some but not so for the others.

Now a very important aspect of todays society…we think whichever side the mandate is…the truth lies there.

Its like the AUDIENCE poll in KBC….where we tend to “Janta k saath jayenge…”

Now the point arises that does truth require a mandate??? Or it is eternal.

But what I personally believe is that truth does not need a crowd to approve of it.

On the other hand if some fact is authenticated by sheer public mandate it stands for scrutiny all the more. I am of the view that sach alaukik hai..it is divine…no human can be deemed fit to verify it..

So in future if you are believing some thing just because the people say so….STOP….and think.

And that’s the bottomline coz The great one said so.
